Please join Ascend NorCal on May 3rd for a special event featuring Dr. Josephine Kim who will share the plight of Asians in America, contextualize with history and acknowledge how the Asian culture processes discrimination. Dr. Kim will also share the nuances of the harm of the model minority myth and the perpetual foreigner stereotype. Open to all, welcoming our allies to the conversation.
We will also be providing a safe and inclusive space for those who wish to speak and discuss the recent acts of senseless violence, racism, and hatred towards Pan Asian Americans following the keynote and Q&A session.
