Jane Allen

Jane is a Consulting Solutions principal based in Northern California. For over 25 years, she has advised clients on legal and regulatory processes, information assets – balancing data “risk and reward” investigations and maturing law department operations in alignment with business strategy, enterprise risk, technology and corporate culture.  Jane draws upon her contagious and positive energy whether it be to drive tailored solutions for her clients, volunteering for corporate responsibility events, running races, or engaging in various activities with her daughter. 

 

Jane is an Advisory Board member for the UC Berkeley Haas School of Business, Center for Financial Reporting and Management and a board member of the Alameda County Community Food Bank. In addition to her service on the US Board, Jane serves on the PwC Network’s Global Board.

Maria Febre is the Head of Employee Belonging at Gap Inc. The global retailer's four purpose-driven, billion-dollar lifestyle brands (Old Navy, Gap, Banana Republic and Athleta) each stand for something and deliver a distinct point of view through relevant product, creative, and customer experience. Focusing on Black, Latinx, and under-represented communities, Maria is spearheading efforts to build inclusive leadership capabilities and authentic, meaningful connections in the workplace.

Kats Furuyama is the Co-President of Ascend NorCal and has been a member for over eight years, first stepping into a leadership role in 2019 as N. California Co-Vice President of Student Affairs and, shortly after, Vice President of Membership.  He is the HR Business Partner at Robert Half International, a global talent solutions firm and parent company of consulting firm Protiviti.  He is passionate and dedicated to serving as a collective voice for Pan-Asian communities and giving back with various philanthropic efforts such as Ascend Cares: Feed Our Hospital and Feed Our Future.  Outside of work, he enjoys running full marathons, cycling, and cooking.

Jordan Kang

Sr. Strategic Project Manager

Clorox

Jordan Kang is a Sr. Strategic Project Manager with the Clorox Company.  He has spent the previous 20+ years in the Consumer Foods and Biotech Industries in various Operational Management and Process Excellence management roles.  He is also a Board member for Ascend and is involved in various non-profits that provide services to the Korean American and adoptee communities.  He attended Emory University for undergrad and the University of South Florida for grad school.  He resides in San Francisco with his wife and four children.

Kevin Kreider

Taejin Beverage and Entertainment

Kevin Kreider is an Actor, Speaker and Founder/CEO of Sans by Taejin Beverage Inc and Taejin Entertainment LLC. Starting off in the fitness industry, he was signed with one of the most prestigious modeling agencies in NYC. He left Philly in 2008 to navigate his way in entertainment as a Korean American adoptee. In 2014, the stress and non-stop nature of the modeling industry took a toll on his body and Kevin was diagnosed with Alopecia Areata. He took a few years off, got sober in 2015, and took a leap of faith by moving to Los Angeles. There he was offered a role in Netflix's international hit, "Bling Empire", the first all Asian and Asian American reality show.

Katherine Li is the Head of Ventures for propelland, a global strategy, design, and engineering firm and Co-Founder of Butterfly FX, a Malaysia-based social enterprise focused on promoting financial literacy for the underserved. In 2019, Butterfly FX was recognized by Fast Company for being a World Changing Idea in the Developing World Tech category. Katherine has 9+ years of leadership experience spanning innovation and design strategy, management consulting, university groups, and startups, setting strategies, launching new businesses, and building teams and capabilities. In doing so, she has brought transformative ideas to market with founders and executives in SF, Silicon Valley, Southeast Asia, UK, Malawi, and beyond.

Priscilla Lim has been a member of Ascend since 2017 and currently sits on the boards for the Northern California and LA Metro chapters.

Priscilla is an Executive Director for JP Morgan Chase and serves as the Site Leader for its San Francisco Chapter of Women on the Move, the company’s initiative to support and advance women. She has over 17 years of experience in commercial banking and law. Her previous experiences include working in seven different cities for HSBC Bank and Webb Farry Law Firm

 

In her spare time, Priscilla enjoys cooking and hosting friends and family for dinner parties. She also enjoys traveling and hiking with her husband.

Nicola is the IBM Alliance Manager at Deloitte, responsible for the Advisory practice’s relationship with IBM. Prior to this she worked in mergers & acquisitions advising on purchase price for technology clients, including Paypal, Alphabet, and Etsy. Nicola is the Hub Leader for Deloitte’s Women & Allies Community, focused on the growth & development and intersections of women. She is a Board member at Ascend NorCal and is presently standing up a women’s program with Ascend National. She spoken on numerous panels on topics such as anti-Asian violence, sponsorship, allyship, and AAPI mental health.

Kimberly Ocampo-Shah is a dynamic content creator, social media butterfly and co-founder of Emotional Content Productions. She is passionate about storytelling. Her innate curiosity and natural outgoing nature has given her the talent for connecting with a wide variety of people. She has the uncanny ability to disarm those she meets and form authentic connections. This skill allows her interviewees to share honest and heartfelt perspectives whether they be entrepreneurs, C-level executives, or everyday people.   Kim's intention is to continue building her storytelling company with an entrepreneurial spirit as she develops personal and corporate brand strategies for her clients. She is an activist at heart that champions representation and visibility. She founded and launched the very first API ERG at her previous organization and is excited to share her voice with the Ascend Leadership community.

Apur Patel

Apur Patel is Vice President & Associate General Counsel at Clorox where he leads a global legal team responsible for supporting Clorox’s strategic partnerships and alliances, intellectual property, technology transformation, commercial contracts and legal operations.  Prior to joining Clorox, he was in the Cisco Legal Department where he led Cisco’s Legal Operations and Technology Acquisition groups.  He also built the first global Legal Operations function at Cargill.  Apur spent 14 years at UnitedHealth Group in Minneapolis, MN in a variety of roles leading the Intellectual Property & Technology legal teams and building the legal support for the Optum division’s Asian operations in India and the Philippines.  He has served as the Co-Chair and the Interim Executive Director of Twin Cities Diversity in Practice, a non-profit dedicated to attracting, recruiting, retaining and advancing attorneys of colour in the Minneapolis/St. Paul community.

Jen Wallner is a PwC Trust Solutions Director in the San Francisco Bay Area serving global clients in the Technology, Media and Telecommunications sector.  She started her career in Portland, Oregon and after a two-year tour at PwC Belgium, she moved to the Bay Area in January 2020. Jen has family and childhood roots in Vietnam, Hawaii, and Oregon and enjoys traveling to her various "homes" for food and beaches. She is also a sneakerhead and collects Nike shoes.

Win Chang

Win Chang is Oracle's North America Government and Education Solution Engineer Director. She began her career as a software engineer, developing financial application solutions at Texas Eastern. In 1990, Win joined Oracle as a technical support manager, providing exceptional customer service. Later, she worked as an Applications Sales Consulting Manager for several years, managing a global Solution Engineers. Win also worked at Siebel Systems and Hyperion before joining LogicalApps as the Customer Experience Vice President with responsibility for several business lines, including consulting services, customer success, education, and customer support. She grew the consulting services portfolio by 200% and received the highest customer experience ratings. In 2008, Oracle acquired LogicalApps; over the last few years, she has held several critical roles at Oracle, including Key Account Director, Customer Success Director, Cloud Accelerator Director, and Cloud Customer Experience Director.

 

In October 2021, she received the FY21 Government and Education Leadership Award for her commitment to Customer Satisfaction, Employee Satisfaction, Trust, Quality, Leadership, Business Results, and Diversity & Inclusion. Win was the recipient of the Oracle CEO's Cup Award for account management excellence in 2011, 2013, and 2014.

 

Over the last 12 years, she has served as the Oracle Women's Leadership Redwood Shores community leader, focused on giving back to the community, professional development, and empowering women to lead beyond. This community delivers monthly events to the Oracle Women's Leadership community. Win was honored with the YWCA Silicon Valley 2014 TWIN award, the 2015 Professional Businesswomen of California (PBWC) Industry Leader award, and the 2016 Powerful Women of the Bay award.

 

Win is the founder and served six years as the chairperson for the Oracle Professional Asian Leadership (OPAL) Employee Resource Group. She currently serves as an executive advisor to OPAL. Today, OPAL has over 27 communities globally with over 5000 members. OPAL is an organization that inspires Oracle employees to leverage the ERG platform to build Asian culture awareness, career development, professional development, cross-company collaboration as well as engagement with the external community.

 

Win serves as the Member at Large on the Executive Board for the Angel Island Immigration Station Foundation, a non-profit organization focused on raising awareness of the experience of immigrants into America through the Pacific. In 2021, Win joined the board of ASCEND NorCal, a non-profit Pan-Asian organization for business professionals. Lastly, she is an active mentor for Women Unlimited Inc., an organization focused on leadership, education, and networking.

 

Win was born in China, grew up in Miami, Florida, and now lives in Redwood Shores, California, with her husband, Mike Chang, and children, Nicholas, Madison, and Michael. She is fluent in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese. She also enjoys traveling, cooking, and succulent gardening.
